  5. ' 1. Select a BLACK AND WHITE screen using the menu command

  7. ' 2. Set BITMAP SIZE to SMALL,  using the preferences
  8. '    menu command

  10. ' 2. Set NO BACKGROUND PICTURES,  using the preferences
  11. '    menu command.   This will remove the 'Canada'
  12. '    graphic image at the top of T1 Page 1.

  14. ' 3. Refrain from using itemizations.  Each one consumes
  15. '    1-2 K of memory.

  17. '    If memory problems Persist quit dataTAX and turn off
  18. '    your Amiga and remove all external disk drives.
  19. '    Each drive consumes 30K of chip memory.
  20. '    or... buy some more memory... you'll have to do
  21. '    it sooner or later.

  23. '    Now use the Mouse to pull down the EDIT/Choose Forms menu
  24. '    Use the down arrow to scroll the list until you find the
  25. '    Getting Started form.  Click on that form.  If you have
  26. '    already seen the Getting Started form press the
  27. '    Left Amiga key and 1 to go directly to Page 1.
  28. '    The background area near the top of the form will be
  29. '    blank because we are saving memory by not loading
